On March 21, 2025, Congressman Davis posted about Viola Harris, a long-time resident of Tarboro who has significantly contributed to her community. He wrote: “Friday in the First Viola Harris was born and raised in Leggett and has lived in Tarboro for 45 years. She has made a significant impact on her community through 15 years of experience as an administrative assistant at Edgecombe Community College and 24 years as a county.”
Later that day, Davis remarked on a major investment in Wilson, North Carolina. He tweeted: “The groundbreaking ceremony for @JNJInnovMed over $2 billion state-of-the-art biologics manufacturing facility in Wilson was remarkable. Such investment will create good-paying jobs and support education, research, and workforce development, ultimately transforming eastern North.” This facility is expected to bring substantial economic benefits to the region.
On March 22, 2025, Congressman Davis attended a Black History celebration event hosted by the Carver High School Alumni Association & Friends Inc., in Mt. Olive. He expressed his honor at participating by stating: “Speaking at the Carver High School Alumni Association & Friends, Inc. Black History celebration in Mt. Olive was an honor. The Tiger spirit is alive and well!”
