Congressman Don Davis, currently serving North Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared several messages through his social media account. Davis, who succeeded G.K. Butterfield in 2023 and previously served in the North Carolina State Senate from 2009 to 2011, expressed sentiments on various topics including condolences, holiday greetings, and community recognition.

On March 13, 2025, Congressman Davis expressed his sorrow over the passing of a fellow congressman. “It is saddening to hear about Congressman Raul Grijalva’s passing. Serving with him was an honor, and my heart goes out to his family and the people of AZ-07 during this difficult time.”

The following day on March 14, he extended warm wishes for a festive occasion. “We wish everyone celebrating Purim a joyful holiday! May your celebrations be filled with meaning and delight!”

Later that day, Davis highlighted a local resident’s contributions in his district. “Friday in the First Sherry Fischlschwieger is a dedicated 33-year resident of Currituck County, an Army veteran, and a passionate 4-H and youth development agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension-Currituck County Center.” He noted her extensive experience in youth development over more than thirteen years.
