Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., recently shared his views and initiatives on social media, addressing a range of topics from healthcare appreciation to legislative efforts. The congressman’s posts highlight his dedication to both acknowledging the contributions of healthcare professionals and advancing medical policies.
On May 6, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed gratitude for nurses on Nurses Day. He stated, “Happy Nurses Day to all the wonderful nurses across Eastern North Carolina! As a surgeon of over 30 years, I could have never achieved what I have for patients without the help of our dedicated nurses. Thank you for your devoted and caring service!!!”
Later that day, Murphy addressed policy issues regarding therapeutic innovations in a tweet, saying, “We cannot let policies undermine America’s primacy in therapeutic innovations. We have come so far. We must address the affordability of drugs and PBM reform tops the list. Let’s get rid of DTC while we are at it!!”
In another post made shortly after, Murphy announced new legislation aimed at increasing awareness for bladder cancer. On May 6, 2025, he tweeted about introducing the Bladder Cancer Awareness Bill: “As a urologist with three decades of experience treating bladder cancer, I’m proud to introduce the Bladder Cancer Awareness Bill for the 800,000 American families impacted. By raising awareness, supporting patients, and advancing research, we can work toward finding a cure.”
The proposed Bladder Cancer Awareness Bill seeks to enhance understanding and support for those affected by bladder cancer in the United States.
