Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., a U.S. Representative from North Carolina’s 3rd congressional district, posted several statements on his Twitter account over July 26 and July 27, 2025.

On July 26, Murphy addressed an unspecified individual or situation with the statement: “Grow up dude.”

Two days later, on July 27, Murphy commented on trade policy under recent presidential administrations. He wrote: “So refreshing to see a WH @POTUS that understands how important trade is to the US economy. Not a single trade deal was done during the AutoPen Administration.” This tweet references what he calls the “AutoPen Administration,” a term used by some critics to refer to President Joe Biden’s administration and its use of automated signing devices for certain legislation.

Shortly after his remarks on trade, Murphy also discussed healthcare payments and intermediaries in another post dated July 27: “It’s where it should be. The middlemen should not be getting rich diverting money away from patients and those who deliver their care.”

Murphy is known for his positions on healthcare reform and economic policy as part of his work in Congress.
