On March 27, 2025, Congressman Don Davis shared his involvement in aiding veterans in Wayne County. He stated, “Sharing essential resources available for veterans in Wayne County was a privilege. Supporting our nation’s heroes is a priority for us, and we sincerely appreciate their sacrifices.”

On March 28, 2025, he highlighted a personal story from the First District, writing, “Friday in the First… Jennifer Freeman has lived in Kinston for the past 13 years. She is a U.S. Army veteran who served four years as a medic and a leave and finance clerk.
