Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district, shared his views on recent legislative actions through a series of tweets. Murphy has been vocal about his opposition to certain policies implemented by the Biden Administration, particularly those related to energy regulations and industry compliance.

On March 5, 2025, Congressman Murphy addressed the impact of energy regulations on American families. He stated that “American families saw a dramatic increase in the cost of everyday appliances due to the Biden Administration’s radical energy regulations.” He further mentioned his support for repealing what he described as a harmful rule that limited consumer choice and increased product costs.

Later that day, on March 5, 2025, Murphy criticized President Biden’s regulatory measures affecting the rubber tire manufacturing industry. He claimed that “President Biden imposed unnecessary regulations on an already EPA-compliant rubber tire manufacturing industry as part of his radical Green New Deal agenda.” Murphy expressed pride in voting to reverse these rules, which he argued threatened American jobs and national security.

On March 6, 2025, Congressman Murphy addressed concerns regarding Medicaid reform. In response to misinformation surrounding the topic, he clarified that “The poor, single mothers, the disabled, caretakers, and others who need a lifeline will not be impacted.” His statement emphasized preventing abuse by able-bodied individuals within the program.
