Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., recently shared updates on social media regarding healthcare initiatives and defense funding. Murphy’s posts covered topics including hyperbaric oxygen therapy for veterans, meetings with healthcare organizations, and federal investments in military infrastructure.

On September 13, 2025, Murphy wrote, “Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been proven to accelerate the brain’s healing process by providing the bloodstream with increased oxygen to repair damaged tissue. I am grateful @SenTuberville introduced companion legislation to my Veterans National Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment”.

The following day, on September 14, 2025, Murphy posted about a meeting with patient care advocates: “Grateful to meet with the Allergy and Asthma Alliance to discuss supporting patient care and reimbursement policies. Allergy Partners provides care and clinical expertise to those with allergies, asthma, and allergic diseases, serving over a million patients annually.”

Later that same day, Murphy highlighted his support for defense spending in North Carolina: “I am proud to have supported this year’s defense authorization bill, which secured $90 million for Camp Lejeune and $200 million for the F-35 Aircraft Sustainment Center at FRC East.”

Murphy has represented his district through several election cycles. In 2024 he won reelection against Gheorghe Cormos with 77.4% of the vote. Previous victories include defeating Barbara Gaskins in 2022 (66.9%), Daryl Farrow in 2020 (63.4%), and Allen Thomas in 2019 (61.7%).
