On Wednesday, January 17, former Douglas Southall Freeman High School standout, Grant Smith’s current college team, the East Carolina Pirates, lost 59-60 in their NCAA D1 game against the North Texas Mean Green.

The game took place in Greenville, North Carolina. This was the first matchup against the North Texas Mean Green this season.

The East Carolina Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, January 20 at 3 p.m. in Birmingham, Alabama.
