On Saturday, February 3, former Douglas Southall Freeman High School standout, Grant Smith’s current college team, the East Carolina Pirates, lost 52-67 in their NCAA D1 game against the Charlotte 49ers.

The game took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was the first matchup against the Charlotte 49ers this season.
