North Carolina State Representative Gregory F. Murphy has expressed concerns over President Biden's policies, stating they have put the "country at great risk of attack on our home soil" by "opening up the southern border." Murphy questioned how anyone could vote for Biden for "another four years" amidst what he described as a "disaster." He made these remarks in a June 19 post on X.

"This President @POTUS, has put this country in great risk of attack on our home soil," said F. Murphy. "By opening up the southern border to unvetted individuals places us all in danger. How anyone could vote for him for another four years of this disaster is beyond belief."

Murphy's comments were in response to a report by Fox News, which indicated that terror analysts are issuing stark warnings about the heightened risk of a significant terrorist incident occurring within the United States, particularly in major urban centers such as New York City and Washington, D.C.

According to the report, despite enhanced surveillance and airport security measures implemented after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, rapid technological advancements and the proliferation of high-speed internet have significantly transformed the security landscape. Additionally, America's permeable borders have allowed millions of unvetted individuals from various parts of the world to integrate into American society.

Rep. Gregory F. Murphy is currently serving his third term representing North Carolina’s Third Congressional District, which includes significant regions of Eastern North Carolina. He holds key positions on several committees including the House Ways and Means Committee, the House Veterans Affairs Committee, and the Committee on House Administration. Murphy also co-chairs the House GOP Doctors Caucus. With academic honors from Davidson College and the University of North Carolina’s School of Medicine, he is noted as being the sole practicing surgeon among current congressional members.
