Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd District, has been active on social media, addressing both local and national issues. His recent tweets touch upon legislative efforts, community events, and criticisms of media coverage regarding immigration.

On March 21, 2025, Congressman Murphy reflected on a tragic event that occurred on February 13th, 2022. "Eastern North Carolina experienced a horrific tragedy on February 13th, 2022, when a plane crashed off the coast of Carteret County, claiming six innocent lives from our community." He announced the introduction of the Down East Remembrance Act to honor those who lost their lives in the crash.

Later that day, Murphy expressed enthusiasm for an upcoming art competition. "I am excited to announce the annual Third Congressional District Art Competition." He extended gratitude to the Craven Arts Council and Gallery in New Bern for hosting the event.

On March 22, 2025, Murphy criticized mainstream media's portrayal of immigration issues. "Criminal to see mainstream media @GMA defend criminals, who are illegal aliens from the deported out of the country." He accused Venezuelan gang members of contributing to violence and drug-related deaths in the U.S.
