Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district, shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Known for his medical background and political career, Murphy's statements reflect his perspectives on diversity in medicine, education policy, and agriculture in North Carolina.

On March 24, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed concerns about the impact of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the medical field. He stated: "As a physician, I have devoted my life to taking excellent care of ALL patients equally. DEI undermines the apolitical nature of medicine and rewards discrimination."

The following day, March 25, 2025, he commented on American education policies. He criticized historical educational reforms initiated by the Great Society programs in 1965. According to Murphy: "The greatest tragedy to befall American Education started with the Great Society programs in 1965. They destroyed the nuclear family which is where all education should start. So pouring Trillions of $$ into a bureaucratic and political Dept of Education has done nothing."

Later that day, Congressman Murphy highlighted the significance of agriculture to North Carolina's economy while expressing gratitude towards local farmers. He tweeted: "From sweetpotato farms to pork producers, NC-03 fuels our $111 billion agriculture industry in North Carolina. Thank you to the farmers from Wayne County for stopping by my office - American food security relies on you."
