Census Bureau: 78.5 percent of people in Pitt County were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 178,433 citizens living in Pitt County in 2019, 140,020 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 75,807 of those people were female and 64,213 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
