AYDEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Principal Amy Hilliard Weekly Update For The week of August 30th

Update

Ayden Elementary School issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.

Good evening Angel families, this is your principal Amy Hilliard with your weekly update for the week of August 30th.

Thank you all for your patience this past week as we transitioned students back to campus at full capacity for our school.  We are still working on a couple of bus issues even this week to make the routes more efficient.  Throughout the week we were able to have our drop off line complete by the 7:50 tardy bell on Friday and all cars loaded on Friday by 3:05.  We will continue to work to make these processes as smooth as possible for students and families.

A few reminders for the coming week:

We have started Early Bird drop off.  Students can be dropped off beginning at 7:10.  Beginning tomorrow when it turns 7:10, students can begin unloading.  If you are not going to use Early Bird, we ask that you please do not arrive prior to 7:15 as those dropping off for Early Bird can not get to the front of the school to drop off.

Also, beginning tomorrow we will begin enforcing Pitt County Schools dress code.  Student are expected to wear solid color bottoms and a solid color collar shirt or an Ayden Elementary Spirit wear shirt.

Devices began being distributed to classrooms on Friday.  Please remember that student fees and tech fees need to be paid as soon as possible.  You can pay those fees online using the School Cash Online Account.  You can access this by going to the website at pcs.shoolcashonline.com

Another reminder that if your child is not feeling well, please do not send them to school.   Please check the PCS Covid Dashboard for a list of symptoms and options for student return.

As always we hope you had a wonderful weekend and we will see you soon.  Have a great evening.
