There was a single gas station in cities across Pitt County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $3.69 per gallon in the week ending Jan. 27, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of premium gas in cities within Pitt County was $3.76 per gallon.

Of the 22 gas stations in cities within Pitt County, three offer premium gas.

The $3.73 average price of premium gas in North Carolina was unchanged from the previous week.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 3.5% more for average goods and food they needed.
