Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., has expressed his approval following the passage of H.R. 8371, known as the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act. The legislation aims to provide veterans with access to modern and high-quality care and services.

"Our veterans, and their families, sacrificed so much in defense of our freedom," stated Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. "We must make good on our promise to deliver the care and services they were promised upon their commitment to fighting for our nation."

Murphy represents over 76,000 veterans and several military installations. As a member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, he emphasized his commitment to holding the Department of Veterans Affairs accountable for its performance.

"I have not been satisfied with its track record since coming to Congress, especially in recent years," he said. "I am determined to make meaningful reforms to improve the quality of outcomes for our heroes."

Murphy acknowledged the efforts made by Chairman Bost and other committee members in advancing this legislative package throughout the year.

"This legislation is a much-needed step in the right direction," he concluded.
