Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina's 3rd district, shared several updates via his social media account on December 5 and 6, 2024. These posts addressed various topics, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) budget, discussions with prominent figures on government efficiency, and issues concerning healthcare reimbursement.

On December 5, 2024, Congressman Murphy tweeted about a hearing held by the VA Committee. He stated: "Today, the VA Committee held a hearing investigating the VA’s reported budget shortfalls and the unnecessary and unspent federal funding they received from Congress. It is my priority to hold the VA accountable, so the dept can provide our veterans with the best care possible."

Later that day, he engaged in a discussion about cryptocurrency's role in government operations. He noted: "Excellent discussion with @elonmusk and @VivekGRamaswamy to hear about their vision for DOGE to improve government efficiency and reduce costs."

On December 6, 2024, Congressman Murphy met with Ascension Health to discuss financial matters affecting physicians. He tweeted: "It was a pleasure meeting with Ascension Health to discuss the significant reductions in physician reimbursement. The Medicare system needs substantial reform, and I will continue advocating for our physicians and access to high-quality affordable care for patients."
