Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., recently shared a series of statements through his social media platform addressing important religious and community events. The messages encountered varied themes, from Easter greetings to condolences, and congratulations on educational achievements.

On April 20, 2025, Congressman Murphy shared a religious reflection in honor of Easter, quoting a biblical passage. In his message, "He is Risen! 'But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.' - Isaiah 53:5 Happy Easter, Eastern North Carolina.", he commemorated the occasion with a greeting to his constituency in Eastern North Carolina.

The following day, April 21, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his condolences following the passing of Pope Francis. He wrote, "Prayers for the Catholic Church and the See of Believers. Rest in Peace Pope Francis."

Murphy also took the time to recognize the achievements of a local school team in North Carolina. On the same day, April 21, 2025, he congratulated students with his message: "Congratulations to the Woodington Middle School team on their win at Lenoir Community College’s STEM Challenge. Great job, girls!"

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, served as the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church until his death in April 2025. He was notable for his messages of compassion and outreach to marginalized communities.
