GREENVILLE – North Carolina state Rep. John Bell IV, R-Green, filed for re-election for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 10 in November 2020, according to an announcement made on his official Facebook page in early December.

“Excited to have my family by my side today as I filed for re-election to continue serving the citizens of NC House District 10,” Bell said in his post. “Since being elected in 2012, I have worked as hard as I can, each and every day, to be a strong and effective leader for the people of Eastern North Carolina. It is my goal to continue being that voice for our agriculture, military and rural communities in Raleigh.”

In this year’s 2019-2020 Legislative session, Bell proposed 69 house bills, including HB 520, the Firefighters Fighting Cancer Act; HB 541, to change exclusion for solar energy technology; and HB 241, the Education Bond Act of 2019.

Bell’s post was quick to draw nearly one hundred comments of public support and praise as of Friday from some of Bell’s followers.

North Carolina’s District 10 is composed of Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, Polk and Rutherford counties.
