Stephen Michaux-Smith from Ayden contributed a total of $100 to the campaign of Democratic Party candidate Brian Farkas, according to North Carolina State Board of Elections.

There were 35 total contributions made to political candidates and committees by individuals and organizations in Ayden, 60 percent of which have gone to Democratic Party causes and candidates.

Donations made to political groups or candidates must be disclosed under state law for greater transparency in elections.
