County of Green issued the following announcement on Sep 18.
The Greene County Department of Public Health is reporting 3more deathsin the county ofresidentswho tested positive for COVID-19. To protect their privacy, no further information will be released at this time. Greene County Department of Public Health Director Joy Brock said, “I am saddened by thesedeathsand so sorry for the families as they grieve. My thoughts and prayers are with theseindividual’s family and friends.”
The Greene County Department of Public Health has received the following notifications of new lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 cases:
•Wednesday, 9/15 –22 new cases
•Thursday, 9/16–11new cases
•Today, 9/17–9new cases
That brings our total number of cases to 3,081. Out of the 3,081lab-confirmed positive cases to date, 2,900of the individuals have recovered, are doing well, and are out of isolation. Greene County currently has 122active cases. Out of the 122active cases, the Health Department is monitoring 115of those individuals, 6arecurrently hospitalized, and 1ishoused in a congregate setting (i.e. correctional facility, long-term care facility). Greene County has had 59deaths.

Greene County is continuing to monitor the situation and its impact on our community. New information will be shared as necessary. Residents who feel they need COVID-19 testing, can go tothe Greene County Community Center located at 814 W. Harper Street in Snow Hill.
