COUNTY OF PITT: Health Department Offering Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccinations for Children

County of Pitt issued the following announcement on Nov. 18. 

The Pitt County Health Department, located at 201 Government Circle, Greenville, NC, is now offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 years – 11 years, by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 252-902-2449. There is not an online appointment scheduling option for the Pfizer vaccine for children at this time. A parent or legal guardian must accompany children during this appointment. The Pfizer vaccine for children is a two-dose vaccine. The second dose is given at least 21 days after the first dose. 

The Health Department does not have the Pfizer vaccine for individuals age 12 years and older. However, the Health Department is continuing to offer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to adults (age 18 years and older), who need either a first, second, third or booster dose. Adults, who would like to receive the Moderna vaccine, can make an appointment online at www.pittcountync.gov. This is the quickest and easiest way to obtain an appointment for the Moderna vaccine. Individuals, who need assistance making an appointment, can call 252-902-2449.
