Town of Ayden issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.
The Town of Ayden Governing Board is seeking residents of the Town and the Town’s ETJ that are interested in serving on the Arts and Recreation Commission. The Commission, which is an advisory board to the Ayden Governing Board, concerning arts, parks, and recreation, meets monthly on the fourth Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Ayden Community Center (4354 S. Lee Street).
Unless the vacancy is posted as “ETJ” (extra-territorial jurisdiction), you must live within the Town’s corporate limits to serve on a Town Board or Commission.
Applications must be received by Friday, December, 31st to be considered for appointment at the January 10th Board meeting.
Applications are available at www.ayden.com and also at Ayden Town Hall. All applications should be delivered to: Sarah Radcliff, Town Clerk, 4144 West Avenue.
