Congressman Greg Murphy, who represents North Carolina’s 3rd district, shared his views on several issues via Twitter on April 10, 2025. Murphy, who succeeded Walter B. Jones Jr. in 2019, has been active in U.S. Congress on various matters. His career includes serving in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019.

On April 10, Murphy expressed his perspective on ObamaCare, asserting, "Just to remind everyone who really benefited from ObamaCare in 2010. It wasn’t the patients. It wasn’t the doctors. It was the insurance companies. Fraud. Waste. Abuse." This comment underscores his critical stance on past healthcare reforms.

Later the same day, Murphy praised Nucor Corporation for its contributions to North Carolina's economy and employment. He tweeted, "As the largest producer of steel and steel products in the United States, @NucorCorp is driving economic growth and job creation across North Carolina. We discussed how Congress can support the steel industry and its workers." Murphy emphasized the importance of the steel industry and expressed his commitment to supporting legislative initiatives for its enhancement.

In another tweet, Murphy briefly mentioned his participation in the legislative process concerning fiscal matters. He stated, "My statement on voting for the Senate budget resolution." This highlights his involvement in budgetary discussions and decision-making in Congress.

A native of North Carolina, Murphy was born in Raleigh in 1963 and resides in Greenville. He is an alumnus of Davidson College, graduating with a BA in 1985.
