78.5% of Pitt County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 170,600 citizens living in Pitt County in 2021, 78.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 133,966 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 61,615 were male, constituting 46%, and 72,351 were female, making up 54%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Pitt County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.8%.
