He stated that transitioning from traditional Medicare to Medicare Advantage with UnitedHealthcare allegedly results in patients becoming "55% sicker," implying that this is done to increase charges to taxpayers. He called for accountability, saying "United needs to be brought to justice."

On March 12, 2025, Murphy voiced his disapproval of what he perceives as unfair practices under the guise of justice and diversity initiatives. He remarked on these actions as "Shameful behavior in the name of ‘justice’. Disgraceful discrimination." and expressed fatigue over "DEI nonsense."
