Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Known for his straightforward opinions, Murphy addressed topics ranging from medical school admissions to government transparency.

On February 17, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his stance on medical school admissions by emphasizing merit-based evaluation. He questioned the push for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in medicine and suggested that those advocating for DEI would be remembered negatively: "Using Merit to judge prospective medical school applicants. What a novel thought? Those who are pushing DEI in Medicine will be remembered as those who caused harm to patients."

Later that day, he alerted the public about a new scam targeting retirement applicants. In his tweet from February 17, 2025, he urged people to stay informed about these criminal tactics: "Folks, please be aware of a new scam tactic criminals are using to try to take advantage of retirement applicants. See below for information:"

On February 18, 2025, Congressman Murphy criticized Democrats over their complaints about government transparency. He accused them of misleading the American public regarding the cognitive abilities of a past president: "Isn’t it rich that Democrats now complain about lack of Transparency in government. They lied to the American people for four years while they hid a President who was cognitively impaired. Who ran the country then?"
