Don Davis, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 1st district, shared several updates on social media about his recent activities and engagements with constituents. Having replaced G.K. Butterfield in 2023, Davis has been actively involved in various community initiatives and legislative efforts.

On February 18, 2025, Congressman Don Davis expressed his support for recognizing the Honor And Remember Flag as a national symbol of remembrance for those who have sacrificed their lives. He mentioned it was a privilege to meet with Kathy Moore to discuss this initiative further. "It was a privilege to visit with Kathy Moore and continue pushing for Congress to recognize the Honor And Remember Flag nationwide as a symbol of remembrance for all who have made the ultimate sacrifice."

Later that day, Davis highlighted the significant work being done by nonprofits in Oxford to tackle various social issues such as homelessness, food disparities, domestic violence, human trafficking, cybersecurity challenges, and at-risk youth concerns. He emphasized meeting constituents where they are to address these critical issues effectively. "We’re meeting constituents where they are, and in Oxford, nonprofits are doing remarkable work to address homelessness, food disparities, domestic violence, human trafficking, cybersecurity, at-risk youth, and much more in the community."

Concluding his day's outreach activities on February 18th with a visit to West Oxford Elementary School, Congressman Davis praised the enthusiasm and dedication of students and educators alike. He remarked on how inspiring their passion for education is during his time spent there. "Had an amazing time visiting the students, teachers & staff at West Oxford Elementary School. Their passion for education & love for their school is truly inspiring!"
