Listeners in eastern North Carolina contributed to a notable fundraising effort during the "Music for Miracles" radiothon. The 28th annual event raised $113,734 for the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center, supporting pediatric care across a 29-county region. Since 1998, the event has contributed over $4 million to enhance hospital programs and services.

Elise Ironmonger, director of programs for the ECU Health Foundation, expressed gratitude for the community's generosity, saying, “Year after year, I am deeply moved by the remarkable generosity of this community.” She highlighted the commitment of donors to improve children's health care in eastern North Carolina and thanked families for sharing their experiences. Ironmonger described the children as "true miracles" and applauded the exceptional care they receive at Maynard Children's Hospital.

The event was broadcast on all Inner Banks Media radio stations, including 107.9, Talk 96.3 and 103.7, Oldies 94.1 and 102.7, and 94.3 The Game. Funds raised through Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital events are dedicated to supporting Maynard Children’s Hospital’s programs and services. Contributions assist in acquiring medical equipment, enhancing educational opportunities, providing comforting resources for children, and developing modern facilities.

Henry Hinton, president of Inner Banks Media, expressed pride in the radiothon's success, stating, “I am so proud of another successful radiothon.” He acknowledged the listeners' generosity and noted the achievement of surpassing $4 million in total funds raised, calling it a source of pride. Hinton emphasized the privilege of using radio stations to support the hospital.
