Rep. Greg Murphy engages in coastal issues and pharma competition on Twitter

Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., has recently shared some of his activities and acknowledgments on Twitter. In a series of tweets, he expresses gratitude, discusses local governmental issues, and addresses medical policy topics.

On April 16, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his gratitude towards Newt Gingrich, thanking him for his support. In his tweet, he included a direct acknowledgment, "Thank you for your support @newtgingrich!".

The following day, April 17, 2025, Murphy shared his experiences during a meeting in Dare County. He mentioned that it was a pleasure to have breakfast with Dare County officials, where they discussed various coastal issues. He stated in his tweet, "It was a pleasure to have breakfast with Dare County officials, this morning, to discuss dredging, erosion, tourism, and recreational and commercial fishing issues! Thank you for your good stewardship of our beautiful coastline!".

Later that same day, Murphy praised Sarah Huckabee Sanders concerning legislative measures in Arkansas. He advocated for the prohibition of PBM's (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) from owning pharmacies, remarking on its impact on competition and drug prices. As he noted in his tweet, "Excellent job @SarahHuckabee in Arkansas. Insurance companies (PBM’s) should be banned from owning Pharmacies. It destroys competition and drives up drug prices."
