County of Greene issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
The Greene County Department of Public Health has received the following notifications of new lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 cases:
•Monday, 12/20–32new cases
•Tuesday, 12/21–7new cases
•Today, 12/22–19new cases
That brings our total number of cases to 3,589. Out of the 3,589lab-confirmed positive cases to date, 3,399of the individuals have recovered, are doing well, and are out of isolation. Greene County currently has 126active cases. Out of the 126active cases, the Health Department is monitoring 67of those individuals, 2arecurrently hospitalized, and57are currently in a congregate setting (i.e. correctional facility, long-term care facility). Greene County has had 64deaths.

New information will be shared as necessary. Residents who feel they need COVID-19 testing, can go tothe Greene County Community Center located at 814 W. Harper Street in Snow Hill. The testing site will be closed Thursday, December 23andMonday, December 27.Testing will resume to its regularMonday, Tuesdayand Thursday, 9 a.m. -6 p.m.schedulebeginningTuesday,December 28.
