Town of Winterville issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
This post is being made to notify our followers of an upcoming training being conducted by your Winterville Firefighters.
On December 22nd, beginning at 6pm, Winterville Fire-Rescue-EMS will be conducting Live Fire Training at an acquired structure located at 147 Main Street. During this training and out of abundance of safety, we will have Main Street closed at Main and Hwy 11, Main and Cross Street, and Depot and Chapman Streets.
Training opportunities such as this may be an inconvenience to the community, but they are invaluable opportunities to the members of this department and surrounding departments alike. These opportunities allow us to maintain a professional and well-trained department.
