The event aimed to address "challenges to free expression on college campuses and solutions to support First Amendment protections."

Later that day, Congressman Murphy reported a meeting with U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. David Tabor concerning military readiness and national security. He tweeted about the significance of F-15 aircraft training at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, stating "The aircraft is essential for our national security." He expressed gratitude towards Lt. Gen. Tabor for ensuring the continuation of this training program.

In another update on the same day, Congressman Murphy expressed his endorsement of significant legislation aimed at enhancing water resources infrastructure across the nation. In his tweet, he stated "I proudly supported the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act," highlighting its bipartisan nature and importance in improving water security.
