Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently voiced his opinions on various issues related to the healthcare industry through a series of tweets. His statements address concerns about insurance practices, healthcare costs, and antisemitism within the medical field.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his frustration with the insurance industry's influence over patient health. He stated: "Enough is enough!! The Insurance Industry’s derelict control of a patient’s health via their abusive PBM practices need to demolished. UnitedHealth needs to be broken up."

Later that day, he criticized NYU Langone for its spending choices during the Super Bowl. In his tweet at 19:53 UTC, he remarked: "Want to know why health care in America keeps getting more expensive? One reason might be that NYU Langone, a non-profit medical center (that gladly accepts taxpayer dollars), burned $8 million on a 30-second Super Bowl ad instead of using that money to lower costs for patients."

In another post on February 12 at 21:05 UTC, Congressman Murphy shared his experience meeting with representatives from the Jewish Federations of North America. He discussed concerns about antisemitism in healthcare and education sectors: "It was an honor to meet with representatives from the Jewish Federations of North America to discuss the rise of antisemitism in the health care industry and medical education. Antisemitism has no place in ANY institution."
