Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. His posts addressed topics ranging from government spending to healthcare funding and reimbursement concerns.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Murphy tweeted about Elon Musk's role in government efficiency. He stated: "Elon Musk is a patriotic American appointed by President Trump to fearlessly eliminate waste in our government. Taxpayer dollars should fund lifesaving discoveries at the NIH, not administrative bloat. DOGE has been abundantly clear this is the mission."

Later that day, Murphy raised questions regarding NYU Langone's expenditure on a Super Bowl advertisement. He expressed concern over the hospital system's financial decisions: "Tax-exempt @NYULangone’s $8 million Super Bowl ad caught my eye, and I have questions. I’m asking the hospital system about the millions in taxpayer revenue and subsidies they receive (340B, DSH, GME, etc.) and how Super Bowl ads further their nonprofit mission to care for..."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Murphy highlighted challenges faced by physicians due to Medicare reimbursement cuts.
