Congressman Don Davis, representing North Carolina’s 1st District, shared updates via social media on initiatives and activities focused on his constituents. Davis, who succeeded G. K. Butterfield in 2023, has been actively engaging with the community on various fronts, including art competitions and healthcare legislation.

On April 6, 2025, Davis concluded the week by indicating a continued focus on eastern North Carolina. He communicated through an online platform, stating, "Wrapping up another week prioritizing the East!"

Later that day, Davis extended an invitation to young artists in eastern North Carolina to partake in the Congressional Art Competition, extending the submission deadline to April 9th. He encouraged participation by highlighting the opportunity to have their work displayed in Washington, D.C., writing, "Calling all young artists of eastern NC, you now have until April 9th to submit your submission form for the Congressional Art Competition. Don’t miss out on the opportunity for your work to be displayed in the Capitol in Washington, D.C.!"

On April 7, 2025, Davis addressed issues related to healthcare in rural communities in his district. He announced his support for several bipartisan healthcare bills aimed at improving services in these underserved areas, articulating, "Our healthcare system has left rural communities like those in eastern North Carolina behind for far too long. As part of our effort to meet everyone in NC-01 where they are, we are cosponsoring the following three bipartisan healthcare bills: H.R. 1127, the Rural America"
