Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., currently serving North Carolina’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared his views and gratitude on various topics through a series of tweets. His statements cover a range of issues from diversity policies in medicine to community support during the holiday season.

On November 26, 2024, Congressman Murphy expressed concerns about the ongoing implementation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the medical field. He stated: "Businesses, colleges and other groups are discarding the discriminatory and anti merit theology of DEI. Why are the bastions of medicine still pushing this nonsense? Patients lives are at stake. Get the politics out of medicine!!"

Later that day, Murphy highlighted his appreciation for local efforts to aid those affected by Hurricane Helene as Thanksgiving approached. He tweeted: "As we enter the holiday season, I am grateful for Greenville’s Just Grillin and the meals they will be providing to those affected by Hurricane Helene. For those in the West, Thanksgiving will be challenging, but ENC will continue to lend our support."

On November 27, 2024, Congressman Murphy acknowledged community contributions during Thanksgiving by thanking a local organization: "Thank you to the Jacksonville Rotary Club for generously providing Thanksgiving baskets to families in need in our community. I am grateful for this yearly tradition and the joy the baskets bring to those less fortunate."
