Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district, has been vocal on various issues through his recent social media posts. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019, Murphy has addressed topics ranging from federal government expenditures to accessibility for people with disabilities.

On February 5, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his concerns about federal government spending. He stated, "It is long past time for the expenditures of the Federal Government to undergo review and reform. Please read the statement from our Treasury Department. It is past time the Nation’s Checkbook got balanced."

Later that day, Murphy showed appreciation for a meeting with an advocacy group by tweeting, "Thank you to the NC National Federation of the Blind for coming by my office this afternoon to discuss how Congress can make websites and medical devices more accessible for people with disabilities. I am grateful for their advocacy and the work they have done over the past 85…" This highlights his engagement with constituents and commitment to improving accessibility.

In another post on February 5, 2025, Congressman Murphy commended President Biden's approach to fiscal responsibility. He tweeted, "Hats off to the President @POTUS who actually cares about the fiscal responsibility of the country. It’s about time the adults came back and looked at the checkbook. America voted for ACCOUNTABILITY." This indicates his support for accountability in government spending.
