Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district, has been vocal on various healthcare issues through his recent social media posts. As a medical professional and legislator, he continues to express his views on Medicare, Medicaid, and medical education.

On March 6, 2025, Congressman Murphy shared details of a conversation with Dr. Moyer from the American College of Physicians (ACP). He highlighted his proposed legislation aimed at protecting access to affordable healthcare for Americans. "Had a great talk with Dr. Moyer of @ACP! I mentioned my Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act, which would protect access to affordable, high-quality care for millions of Americans."

The following day, March 7, 2025, Murphy expressed concerns about the current state of Medicaid. He argued that inefficiencies in the program are detrimental to those who genuinely need assistance. "Medicaid is not working as intended. For every dollar we allow to be abused, that’s one dollar being taken away from those who truly need it." As a physician himself, he sees firsthand the impact on patients and calls for necessary reforms.

Later that same day, Murphy criticized certain aspects of medical education under current leadership. He questioned the direction being taken by organizations such as AAMC and LCME in shaping future medical professionals. "This is the kind of unbelievable nonsense that they are testing in Medical School these days under the leadership of @AAMCtoday and the LCME."
