Congressman Don Davis, representing North Carolina's 1st district, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting legislative efforts and community engagements. Davis, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after succeeding G.K. Butterfield, emphasized initiatives aimed at enhancing agriculture technology security, supporting local economies, and fostering skills development.

On March 10, 2025, Congressman Davis announced the introduction of the Promoting Precision Agriculture Act in the U.S. House. According to Davis, "The Promoting Precision Agriculture Act, which we filed in the U.S. House, will improve cybersecurity for precision agriculture technologies, helping our farmers thrive in the modern world."

In a subsequent tweet on March 11, 2025, Davis addressed his commitment to supporting eastern North Carolina's agricultural sector and local communities through legislation. He stated that "Eastern North Carolina’s farmers, rural communities, and hardworking families deserve policies that protect our land, support local economies, and invest in our future. That’s why we’re cosponsoring key legislation to strengthen our district." This includes co-sponsorship of H.R. 620.

Later on March 11th, Davis highlighted his dedication to workforce development by acknowledging organizations like Kittrell Job Corps. He noted their role in equipping individuals with necessary skills for success in eastern North Carolina: "Our responsibility is to meet the best and brightest of NC-01 where they are. Organizations like Kittrell Job Corps fulfill the shared mission of creating hope and ensuring those they serve have the hard and soft skills they need to thrive in eastern NC."
