On March 14, 2025, Congressman Murphy reported his visit to the Marine Forces Special Operations Command at Camp Lejeune. He expressed his admiration for the personnel there by stating, "I visited the Marine Forces Special Operations Command at Camp Lejeune to receive an update on its operations and upcoming projects. It was an honor to meet the brave warfighters who execute our military’s most dangerous missions, and I thank them for their exceptional service."

The following day, on March 15, 2025, Congressman Murphy addressed issues related to veterans' healthcare. He highlighted discussions within the VA Health Subcommittee about alternative therapies for PTSD and TBI with a focus on legislation he is promoting. He stated: "Veterans should not bear the burdens of their service alone, and it is long overdue that we explore alternative therapies for PTSD and TBI. The VA Health Subcommittee discussed my Veterans National Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment Act and its great treatment potential."
