Congressman Don Davis, representing North Carolina’s 1st district since 2023, recently shared several updates on social media. His posts highlighted significant local achievements and milestones in the region.

On December 6, 2024, Congressman Davis acknowledged Disability Awareness Month by commending the efforts of Blue Collie Coffee Shop in Louisburg. He stated, "In recognition of Disability Awareness Month, we're shining a light on the incredible work of Blue Collie Coffee Shop in Louisburg. Their work is breaking barriers, one cup of coffee at a time."

Later that day, Davis introduced LaTonya Andrews-Hunter as part of his "Friday in the First" series. He described her as "a proud Warren County resident, entrepreneur, and community advocate," noting her background as a fourth-generation farmer and co-owner of Peanut & Zelb’s Produce Market in Norlina. He also mentioned her service as an Air Force veteran and a public health professional with 27 years of experience.

In another post from December 6th, Congressman Davis celebrated two major healthcare-related events: "Join us in celebrating an incredible milestone—the first anniversary of Medicaid expansion in North Carolina! We're also thrilled to mark the groundbreaking ceremony for the brand-new Center for Medical Education." These initiatives are aimed at advancing healthcare access and education within the state.
