Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina's 3rd district, recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. These posts cover topics ranging from healthcare practices to the influence of educational institutions on student attitudes.

On January 28, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed concern over UnitedHealthCare's practices by stating that even its shareholders disapprove of how the company denies care. He emphasized that "the nonsense has to stop." "Even UnitedHealthCare shareholders don’t like how the company denies care. The nonsense has to stop."

In another tweet posted on January 29, 2025, Murphy criticized the Institutes of Medicine for promoting progressive agendas instead of focusing on scientific medicine. He commented, "Thank God," and urged a return to objective scientific approaches in medicine. "Thank God. Only if we could have the Institutes of Medicine stop pushing progressive agendas and get back to object scientific medicine."

Later that day, he addressed what he perceives as an entitlement attitude nurtured by colleges and universities among students. He argued that this 'bubble' does not reflect real-world competitiveness required in businesses where underperforming workers are replaced. "The direct result of colleges/universities nurturing an entitlement attitude amongst students... Businesses have to be competitive to survive."
