Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina's 3rd district, recently shared several updates and reflections on social media. His tweets addressed community development, political commentary, and a tribute to a historical figure.

On February 3, 2025, Congressman Murphy attended the inauguration of new facilities for Jones Senior High School and Trenton Elementary School. He expressed his appreciation for the "new state-of-the-art campus" rebuilt after Hurricane Florence destroyed the previous structures in 2018. This reconstruction was made possible through a public-private partnership. "It was an honor to attend the new state-of-the-art campus for Jones Senior High School and Trenton Elementary School. In 2018, Hurricane Florence destroyed the old facilities, which were rebuilt through a public-private partnership."

Later that day, Murphy commented briefly on political matters with a tweet stating "Same with Pelosi."

On February 4, 2025, Congressman Murphy paid homage to Rosa Parks on her birthday. He acknowledged her role as a civil rights activist who significantly impacted American history by refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Murphy emphasized that discrimination has no place in America and praised Parks' enduring legacy: "Happy Birthday, Rosa Parks! Today, we honor the fearless civil rights activist who changed the course of our country’s history for the better when she refused to give up her seat on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama."
