On March 8, Congressman Murphy expressed gratitude for the success of the fourth Veterans History Project (VHP) event. He acknowledged participants who contributed to preserving veterans' stories, stating "The 4th VHP event was a huge success! I appreciate all those who participated to honor and preserve the stories of our veterans." He emphasized his appreciation for veterans' sacrifices and their stories being recorded for future generations.
Later that day, Murphy attended an event honoring the Third District’s 2024 service academy nominees and their families. He thanked them for their dedication to the country and extended appreciation to Major General Scott Benedict, USMS (Ret), for delivering remarks at the ceremony. In his words, "It was an honor to celebrate the Third District’s 2024 service academy nominees and their families."
On March 9, Congressman Murphy congratulated Angela Lottman on her appointment as Currituck County’s first Opioid Program Coordinator.
