Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., a representative of North Carolina’s 3rd district since 2019, shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. Murphy has been an active voice in Congress following his predecessor Walter B. Jones Jr. He previously served in the North Carolina House of Representatives and holds a degree from Davidson College.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his commitment to Medicare reform at an event organized by the American Medical Association. He emphasized the necessity for legislative action: "Honored to speak at @AmerMedicalAssn event highlighting the urgent need for Medicare reform. Congress must pass my Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act so that our seniors can continue to access the medical care they deserve!"

Later that day, Murphy addressed currency issues in another tweet. He remarked on the historical context and current value of U.S. coins: "At one point the US had a ‘Half-Penny’. At the time it was worth something. Today the penny has outlived its monetary value. Time to round up to the nickel or dime!"

In a subsequent post, Murphy referenced recent findings from NIH regarding a new disorder he humorously termed "Musk Derangement Syndrome," connecting it with prominent figures in technology: "We have now found NIH has discovered a new disorder. It’s called MDS. ‘Musk Derangement Syndrome’. @DOGE @elonmusk"
