Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., currently serving North Carolina’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on various healthcare issues through his social media presence. His recent tweets address concerns related to COVID-19 vaccine mandates, insurance company practices, and Medicare system inefficiencies.

On February 20, 2025, Congressman Murphy expressed his views on COVID-19 vaccine mandates and public trust in vaccines. He stated: "Unscientific mandates and Fauci’s misinformation for the COVID-19 vaccines undermined public trust. Vaccines have saved hundreds of millions of lives globally, and I support efforts to improve transparency and confidence in these valuable treatments."

Later that day, he addressed issues related to patient care denials by insurance companies. On February 20, 2025, he tweeted: "Patient care denials are growing leading to the restriction of care, very possibly leading to harm. It is past time that Insurance Companies are liable when they cause harm by denying care."

On February 21, 2025, Congressman Murphy turned his attention to financial practices within the Medicare system. He commented on overcoding and overcharging with a tweet stating: "Overcoding and Overcharging the Medicare system has consequences—to the tune of billions and billions."
