Congressman Don Davis, currently serving North Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared a series of statements via social media. These posts cover topics ranging from international conflicts to local community efforts and personal tragedies.

On February 21, 2025, Congressman Davis addressed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He stated, "As Russia continues its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, we need to stand together against Vladimir Putin as freedom-loving people. By joining hands and forces, we can protect Ukraine's sovereignty and the future of democracy."

Later that day, he highlighted a local initiative in his district with his "Friday in the First" post. He recognized Deanna Gardner from Oxford for her leadership at Mother Love, Inc., an organization tackling food insecurity and homelessness. In his words: "Deanna Gardner, a resident of Oxford, is the founder and leader of Mother Love, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing food insecurity and homelessness in her community."

In another statement on February 21st, Congressman Davis condemned acts of violence involving Hamas terrorists. He described a recent tragedy involving several individuals: "The brutal murder of Oded Lifshitz and the innocent brothers, 10-month-old Kfir Bibas and 4-year-old Ariel Bibas, by Hamas terrorists while they were in captivity is utterly horrifying." Additionally, he mentioned that Shiri Bibas remains missing.
