Congressman Don Davis, representing North Carolina’s 1st district since 2023, recently shared updates about local community events and discussions in his area. The posts on social media reflect his engagement with community activities and initiatives concerning local business, insurance coverage, and environmental conservation.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Davis highlighted a community event hosted by the Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce. He noted that the "Business After Hours event at The Bridges on Parkview assisted living facility" served as an opportunity for community members to connect and celebrate the contributions of older adults in eastern North Carolina. "The Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce hosted the Business After Hours event at The Bridges on Parkview assisted living facility, bringing the community together to connect and celebrate a place where older adults thrive in eastern North Carolina."

Later that day, Davis acknowledged the addition of NC Insurance Partners to the local chamber of commerce. He praised their efforts in providing comprehensive insurance coverage to families within Vance County. As stated in his tweet from February 12, "The Vance County community welcomes NC Insurance Partners to the Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce. Their dedicated team ensures our communities get the best coverage while giving peace of mind to what matters most to families in the East."

Additionally, Davis reported on a meeting with Dismal Swamp State Park Superintendent Adam Carver and Welcome Center Director Sarah Hill. During this meeting, they discussed various topics including federal funding for the park, its designation as an alternate Inter-coastal Waterway route via I-87, and its rich biodiversity.
