On March 3, 2025, Congressman Davis addressed the ongoing political conflicts in Washington, D.C., emphasizing the importance of focusing on community needs. He stated, "Amidst the fussing and fighting in Washington, D.C., we must not lose sight of who we are fighting for: those in our communities who do not have someone to fight for them. In that spirit, we are cosponsoring three bipartisan bills to improve the quality of life for children,…"

On March 4, 2025, Congressman Davis announced a significant achievement in job growth within his district. He reported that Newport News Shipyard exceeded its hiring goals at Roanoke-Chowan Community College by employing 160 individuals from District 1: "Our office hosted Newport News Shipyard at Roanoke-Chowan Community College where they announced exceeding their hiring goal with 160 District 1 hires up from an initial target of 30 which is what job growth in eastern NC looks like!"
